You will certainly find a less expensive cut and color in town, but don't forget you get what you pay for and the cut and styles I get keep me coming back.

Elise is not only warm and knowledgeable, but meticulous and confident- the two things I want most from someone who is putting wax on my face.
My stylist has been urging me to try Elise for years, and now I see why. I honestly didn't know my eyebrows could look this good. I told her I was nervous because of bad waxes from others and my own over plucking.
To my surprise, Elise took the time to talk me through what her ideas were in conjunction with mine and explained the steps she would take to get there.
Hands down, the best brow wax I have ever had! They are exactly what I always tried to do, but would end up going too thin and/'or two totally different brows. My husband even complemented them!

Every time I go in to see Lianne, I leave LOVING my hair. She is cute and friendly, but also a very skilled stylist. I have very thick and annoying hair but she cuts and styles it in a way that makes it manageable, and it's something I can re-create at home. Your stylist should be someone you look forward to seeing and spending time with-- that's how I feel when I have an appointment with Lianne. It's been hard to find in Portland, so I'm so glad I started trusting Lianne with my hair. You should too- you will not regret it. And Valerium is an amazing salon, it's classy and beautiful, but comfortable.

I am very sorry Brit, that you were unhappy with your service. I must say I was shocked to read your review based on the fact that I received nothing but extremely positive feedback from you both times you sat in my chair. Had you called or contacted me when your disappointment began, I would have done everything in my power to rectify the situation or refund your money. Sadly, I was not given the opportunity to do so. Contrary to your review, I stand by the quality of my work as well as the quality and price of Balmain extensions. The hair is of the highest quality available, it is reusable (unlike other methods), feels like natural hair and my prices are extremely competitive with regard to other stylists in Portland. The amount of hair you lost when you came in for your touch-up was well within a reasonable amount and you did not have to purchase new hair. I urge anyone reading these reviews to decide for yourself after you have spoken to the stylist about the process and not let the opinion of one person influence your decision to extend your hair to it's full potential. These extensions are fantastic and I truly believe this method to be one of the best there is.

I went to Alisha at Valerium and had the best experience of my life (haircut wise, that is). Not only is the salon gorgeous, but my haircut turned out better than any haircut I have ever had. Hands Down! My hair is amazing, but I already can't wait to go back and get a new style next time.
