I'm a native Texan--so when I moved to Portland I have to admit that I was thoroughly dissapointed in the major lack of good BBQ joints here in the area. One day, a friend of mine told me about this place located pretty near the Nike Outlet store, so I decided to try it out. I actually thought that it was quite good--the different sauces are great. I'm a sausage guy, so I naturally had to try it. I'd give it probably a 7/10, mainly because the sausage tends to be on the soggier side. I found the beef ribs to be pretty brutal, and I'd stay away from the Mac & Cheese as well. However, everything else I've had has been stellar! The service can sometimes be spotty, as well as the wait. I'd still recommend that any homesick Texan try this out though!
