I work at this store. I've worked at other stores as well, including for the Dominos company. I came back to Papa Johns for the specific reason that, at Papa Johns there is a much higher standard for what can go out the door. At Domino's, my manager did not care about the quality of the product going out the door, and that frustrated me. It could have just been that one manager, but there is a big difference.. Dominos is about speed and getting it there FAST. Papa Johns wants the pizzas to be as good as they can be.

This is the best location I have worked at, and I've worked at multiple locations in North Carolina, Florida, and here in Portland. There is a lot of focus on keeping the store clean and making pizzas that comply with the standards. The company policies are a lot more strict. We extensively date all the food items so nothing bad gets used. Even the Square Pans, Thin Crust and the sauce, that sit out at room temperature, are kept dated for how long they can stay out at room temperature. The green peppers, onions, and tomatoes are cut fresh every morning, never from a can or in a bag pre-cut.

The cost is more than other competing pizzas chains, but there are always specials. Don't forget to ask about them! Also, it is extremely nice to tip the driver even if it is a dollar. Gas is very expensive right now.
