Not a good enviroment for my child by Heather M. at InsiderPages
My 5 year old attended this school for 2 months and we yanked him out. He transferred from the Wilsonville NW Montessori which is owned by the same company. We have no complaints about Wilsonville, great staff and wonderful campus. The Tigard campus is in the basement of an old church with very little to no natural light in the back room. The children did not get to go outside on a daily basis. The staff in Tigard felt if the ground was wet they should stay inside. We are in Oregon and it's likely it will rain alot, kids need fresh air and they don't care if the ground is wet. That policy just didn't work for us.The children just don't seem challenged. My child was always disappointed because he would get sent home with another child's work because the staff writes the name for them and often wrote the wrong name. Again I'm comparing to Wilsonville where even the 3 year olds sign their names to their work. I am owed a refund on my last week of school that we did not use. The company is refusing to refund me the full week. I followed all procedures in order to withdraw my child and they feel they don't owe us a refund for the full unused week. We obviously don't recommend anyone to send their children to this school for academic reasons. Now I wouldn't recommend anyone to attend any of their schools for the risk of getting ripped off. ****We highly recommend you look into Touchstone School in Tigard. The school is a bit more, but worth every penny! Hope you find this helpful
