I've moved so many times and you never know what you've got in a mover until it's too late. These guys give a complete estimate and are up front about all the fees and costs. They work with you before the move to help you figure out exactly what you need. They are on time, clean and careful.

great movers: ontime, hardworking, and careful!!
these guys were great, didn't know what to expect as I scheduled last minute, but they accomodated my next day request, showed up on time, were proffessional and very hardworking, carefully packed to maximize space and protect furninture in the move, finished an hour earlier than I expected saving me $$$. Absolutely would use them again!

I had two experiences with movers this past June. One was in Seattle. They had a cheap hourly rate, and they were nice guys, but they were late and took a hour longer than expected (3 hours total).

When we got to Portland, Metro Movers unpacked for us. They were here on time. They were super nice and moved us in within a hour. Their hourly rate is a little high, but they only had a 1 hour minimum which is hard to find. They give you a fair deal. They move their buts.

what happend to customer service?
I called Metro to cancel a scheduled move because our plans changed, and while we were talking abourt rescheduling I expressed concern that Metro wants cash only (other movers take credit cards, giving customers some protection if something goes wrong). Instead of discussing their policy with me, the Metro employee told me to "take my business and stuff it."
