Only botuique gym I could find in Portland. The kind of place I used to pay more than $250 worth in LA.

The knowledge of the trainers is phenomenal! The location is convenient, (near Pearl and PSU). The space is pleasant, clean, organized, and the workout is HARD but affordable! If you are not into the 'flesh' parade of other gyms, this is the one for you! My trainer, Taylor, is on time, efficient, and knowledgeable, not to mention, funny, articulate, and cute! The facility has other amenities I haven't utilized but I'd like to, such as massage, spiritual counseling, and other spa services.

Empower Fitness is a very different kind of facility, far from the "big box" gyms where people go to socialize or pick up other members. It's a much more intimate setting with good energy and a relaxing feel to it, while at the same time providing innovative fitness equipment for a complete workout. The entertainment centers at each cardio station are a nice touch. There is plenty of room for stretching and relaxation as well. The trainers are all very knowledgeable and always willing to help and advise. They also offer intense group-training classes as well and yoga and many other sevices. I have really enjoyed being a member there!

I recently was visiting my mother (who is a member) from out-of-state and was immediately welcomed into the "empower community." They are supportive, caring and have had a wonderful, healthy & happy effect on my mother's life. I can't thank them enough. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This place is the ultimate in personal attention. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and membership costs are very reasonable. Hours and classes are convenient too. My sports massage after my workout was extremely effective, probably the best one I've had in ages!
