My dog loves going to Dogs Dig It. She was a rescue dog who had not been treated well so is pretty cautious. The first day she was reserved but the second day she barely glanced my way as she went to play and then had to say goodbye to the staff when I picked her up. I have also boarded her there for several days and she hardly knew I was gone. Staff is wonderful and I feel lucky to have found such a great doggie daycare as "Dogs Dig It"
Pros: Friendly staff, easy to drop off and pick up and they all seem to love dogs
Cons: I can't think of a thing
Price Range: $10 - $25
Recommended: Yes

is this place a horrible joke?
I agree with EVERY ONE of the bad reviews on here.

I've boarded my dog there several times for long stays, simply because they are the largest daycare in the area and have an outside area, which I like. Every single encounter I've had with employees AND owners there have been bad. Their attitude is the worst: pretentious, rude, impatient. I let that slide for a while, thinking that my dog would like it there because of the outdoor area, and I should just suck it up.

Last year during the holidays, I scheduled for boarding him there for a week. The snow storms caused cancellations for our flights and we ended up not leaving town. The owners were so rude (you have to prepay 100%) and would not work with us at all because of their "strict cancellation policy". Finally, they agreed to at least give me a store credit, and the next time I boarded him there, he came home with a bloody sore below his nose. We have boarded my dog MANY times, in many different situations, and this has never happened. They acted annoyed when I asked about it and said it was a common thing when dogs are "cage fighting". I had never even heard of that term before. It is not like my dog to show fear or aggression. WTF?

I blame myself for not listening to my gut instinct about the people who run the place. If that's how they treat their paying customers who knows how they treat their employees and the dogs that stay there.

The facility has great potential, but the owners and/or management have got to go. They are the worst, and will never get another dollar from me or anyone else I can alert.

Dont Dig it
I worked at Dogs Dig it for about 6 months, I loved my job specifically because of the dogs, its my passion. The only thing that got in the way of that is money hungry ownership. There are a few things i would like to point out from what i saw with my own eyes. First of all the filth of this place is truly amazing, the structures outside were never washed once when i worked there, structures the dogs pee and poo on everyday. We had gotten new grass installed outside so we had to have all the dogs stuffed inside for a little more then a week, you can imagine the smell but the big deal was the fact they have NO ventillation system to speak of, the floor was constantly wet because it couldnt dry some of the dogs started having bloody stools, during that time the owners went on vacation and left there own dogs there for boarding when they got back they found out there dog got Giardia (gasp).
I would also like to point out the fact the the owners (ellie) NEVER come out to play with the dogs, ive literally broken up 5 dog fights by myself with her standing on the other side of the gate not doing a thing. If these people ever try and tell you they cant accept a breed i want you to know they have pure bred everything akitas, dobermans, pit bulls, german shephards all of it.
I also brought my new puppy to day care there and after just a couple of weeks of going there he got kennel cough. I have 3 dogs and my other 2 are older and arent to interested in going to day care so i didnt bring them as much but they all 3 would go everywhere together. and so happens my puppy gets kennel cough (its really the only possible place he could of gotten it) i hadnt taken him to any dog parks within those couple weeks so i got stuck with a 150$ vet bill and a sick puppy i have to keep away from his buddies because of how contagious it is. I know for a fact that not only my pup has gotten kennel cough from that place.
This day care might look completely ideal because of its size and outdoor area but if you were to walk through this place you would see how filthy it really is, they clean the front office twice as much as they clean where the dogs are.
They treat there employees with absolutely NO respect. In the 6 months i worked there 6 people quit the longest person thats been there is about 8 months. They go through employees like nothing ive ever seen before. The minute the owners step into the building you can feel the stress rise from there presence and attitude and that rubs off on the dogs.
I will miss my furry friends from dogs dig it i made a lot of doggie buddies i will never forget. But the key to a happy dog is happy people and that i believe you will not find here.

Regret is one word for it
First of all the only times this place has been awarded 5 stars is when the owners post it (when defending themselves, you should do that in the "make comment" area not a new post altogether, shady people), OR when the owners refer out to friends... nice. Now for other reasons not to go here, the dogs are treated like cash rather than family. I was lied to when picking up my dog from daycare. He was foaming at the mouth and frantic and they told me it was common, that it was normal behavior for first days. It is not! I have taken my dog to another daycare and NEVER had that happen. Makes me wonder what happened at Dogs Dig It to get my buddy all worked up like that. This place is not safe.
