Poor Customer Service
I read some of the poor reviews but I decided to use this clinic since it was closest to my home. Initially I was satisfied with the level of service (I had a minor complaint after asking to see their kenneling facility and being told no - I feel more comfortable boarding my dog when I know the environment will be comfortable for her).

Recently, however, after I ran low on heart worm preventative I placed an order on-line at '1800petmeds'. I've never had an issue with this before; I've lived all over the country and have had many orders filled on-line. In this case, I was notified that the vet had declined my prescription.

Soon thereafter someone from this vet's office called to tell me that in order to use a different pharmacy I would need to go by their office, sign a waiver and pay them $10 for this "service'.

I can accept their ludicrous explanation for the waiver: they don't want me to hold them liable if the pharmacy sends the wrong prescription (I've never heard this from a Medical Doctor, and they have much more liability). What I find insulting was the insistence that I pay a $10 fee to sign that waiver. When I asked the reason for the fee I was told that's just what it would cost and if I didn't want to pay it I could find another vet.

There are a number of other vets in this area, any of which will treat you better. Go where you'll be appreciated, I know I will from now on.

professional groomer's opinion by bernie s. at InsiderPages
I have been a professional dog groomer for 15+ years. I have had experience with all kinds of dogs, cats and their owners. After reading some of these comments I was convinced that in most cases there are two sides of a story, and only one is being told here. I personally have taken ALL my pets to the wonderful doctors and staff at this particular companion pet clinic. They have always treated all my pets and me with the utmost in care, compassion and professionalism. Dealing with the public has taught me that you can never please all people all the time. I think what people don't understand is that even a veterinarian has to make a living. He/She has bills to pay and an overhead just as every other business person in the United States does. Of course they would love to give all their services and products away at NO charge, and be just like James Harriot...but in all reality the world doesn't work that way. And I think that this website has done an extreme injustice to this establishment by printing these comments. The insider pages doesn't know the facts and doesn't research the facts. They don't cover both sides of the story. So I am here to voice the TRUTH.I will never take my pets anywhere else and I highly recommend to my clients that they take their animals there as well. They have worked on my dogs, cats, birds and rodents. All were treated in the kindest and gentlest way. And I never left the clinic without feeling grateful to the staff for the job they had done. And their prices were very competitive with other local establishments. They always offer every service to me, I might not be able to afford all that they have offered, but as a consumer I have the power to make my own decisions with the help of their competent staff. If you took your own child to a doctor and they didn't offer all possible options to save your child wouldn't you be very upset? I

clinic needs better practices by Kathy T. at InsiderPages
I took my cat to Aloha to be neutered. They seemed to do a ok job, but about 1 week and 2 days later my cat got very sick. I called and they told me that I would have to pay another office visit to be seen since it was over the 5 days after surgery.

At that point I called the CPC closest to my home (82nd Ave) and took my cat there. They suspected that it had some kind of bug, gave it meds and a water pack at no charge so it would get better. (this clinic is owned by another owner the same one that owns the Beaverton clinic) Anyway my cat was doing much better so I was ok. Then within a week, more of my cats started getting sick.

By the time of the writing I have lost 7 cats to this bug. I went to a emergency vet with one of them and they told me it was viral and very agressive and since cats under 1 year were most vunrable that I could expect to lose anything under a year. They said they could try and find it and treat it but most likely it would not be in time. They were correct as all 7 of these cats died within a 48 hour time period. My only cats to survive this were my four cats over 2 years.

When I called the clinic they said they knew nothing about a virus that my cat could have picked up while there. I find this very odd since all my cats were inside pets and the only time any of them had left the house in the last six months was for this one neuter.

Be careful, this had to be picked up from there, either from another cat or from an area that was not cleaned properly.

No Compassion for a Dying Cat!!
I am horrified to say that my cat was hit by a motorcycle last night and had extensive damage to his mouth and jaw and was bleeding from his mouth and nose and was having trouble breathing. I took my cat to Companion Pet Clinic on 185th and Walker and they actually threw a $600 bill on front of me before they did anything to help my cat. They would not do anything for him unless I paid money I did not have. In a life threatening situation, a little compassion and thinking outside of the box wouldn't hurt or would it hurt your pockets? I was only asking that they help my cat and I will pay when I have the money in two days when I get paid. We were willing to leave our car and the key or a driver license even! The little short woman in the front apparently the vet tech was the BOSS I was told not the actual Veterinarian! I told them I would pay them in two days when I would have the money but they were not willing to come outside of themselves and show some compassion and heart in this horrible situation. Needless to say they had no choice but to come to a resolution since I was not going to magically pull the money from a hat! I am absolutely disgusted at the lack of sensitivity or compassion anyone in this office had in the evening of June 17, 2008. You should be ashamed of yourselves and further more you should question why you are really in the line of work you are....because none of you fit the bill! To do what you are trying so hard to do takes a caring, loving, compassionate person that has an unconditional love for animals but none of you showed a side close to that. Needless to say my cat had to be put to sleep and they were not willing to take X-rays or anything unless I could pull a hundred dollar bill from my purse to find out if there was a chance to save my cat or not! I do not suggest taking your animal here if you truly love them and I know that my other

Please do not go to this Vet. by D D. at InsiderPages
I took my very sick cat to see a doctor here and was told that I would need $992.00 to have her diagnosed with what was wrong, and due to not having that kind of money - My cat and I were sent home. I had no idea what I was going to do - so I called the doctor back - and he said do your best what kind of response is that? I was able to get help for my cat at Companion Pet Clinic in Forest Grove by one of the most amazing doctors I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Worth the drive and only $250.00. My poor rating of this doctor is due to the fact that the only thing him and his greedy office staff sees is dollar signs. When you take care of animals or people you bottom line goal should not be to fill your pocket book.
