depends on your lifestyle
Leaving this apartment we have been renting after years of living here. There has been quite a few changes over the past years such as management company changes, multiple property manager changes, etc. The particular place we live in is decent, very spacious, and conveniently located to our daily destinations - those are the parts I will miss. The parts we will NOT miss: rent (although this is actually decent, in this current economy its somewhat tough) and the extremely rude and inconsiderate neighbors that seem to always surround us. If you want to move into a place you're better off renting a house or townhouse so you don't have ridiculous neighbors surrounding you. This includes neighbors who: bump their music SO loud your walls and ground vibrate, loud and obnoxious cars, smokers (in and out of apartments which we didn't appreciate especially with kids around), and those who claim you are in "their parking spot" and make unnecessary rude comments when the parking spot rule has already been eliminated. Since we first moved in we have been needing repairs done and only 1 or 2 things have actually gotten done out of all the things and this was when we had our first management company. Since then we have given up on even trying to get anything fixed because every time we try to contact the management and/or maintenance it seems that the manager or maintenance person changes. Oh, and for some reason during the 2008 year we had a ton of apartment inspections for all sorts of reason...it was quite annoying.
