I really love vintage toys, but I really don't like the vintage toy shop downtown called Billy Galaxy.
The selection is fair. There are sections of about 10 types of toys, and if you are looking for anything else there might be one to choose from if you are lucky.
The prices are really high. A My Little Pony for $150? Some Star Wars items were $700 or more. These could be somewhat rare items, but being a collector I know they aren't worth THAT much.
But overall I'd have to say the worst thing about the store is the customer service. There's a guy that sits behind the counter and stares at a computer. He becomes really rude in about 5 seconds if you happen to ask something that I suppose he thinks is "dumb". Now, I am a super smart person and don't take kindly to being treated like that because I ask questions.
Come to think of it, maybe what I asked alerted him that I was not just a stupid rich kid willing to pull out my wallet without using a brain cell first. Obviously I was a waste of time since I knew it would be stupid to take pennies for my toys and pay outrageous prices for the ones he had.
I don't recommend this store for anything but looking. Do not ask questions or you may end up online writing bad reviews hoping to get the store to maybe invest in some customer service training for their counter guy. People at Walmart do their jobs better than this guy and sometimes just looking at them makes me lose hope for the future of humanity. Good luck Billy Galaxy, you're going to need it!
