Great school
My daughter started at Alder Street in Janury and has blossomed. She loves the dance, yoga and singing while learning her ABCs and numbers. More importantly, she adores her teachers who are warm, encouraging and creative. As a busy parent, I greatly appreciate the advice and skills the teachers share with me, especially from the director, Linda, who clearly has years of experience and knowledge. We look forward to sending our son to Alder St. when he is old enough. It is a place where you can feel the happiness of the children and staff.

Kicked my 3 year old out & refused parent/teacher conference
Linda kicked out my 3 year old son & refused my request for a parent/teacher conference to find out why so we could figure out what was going on. Clearly they are NOT good with children if they cannot handle a 3 year old. Linda refuses to return phone calls about it.

Caring, attentive, knowledgeable staff
My son has been attending ASLC for two and a half years. My second son is about to start and I cannot be happier! My oldest son comes home from preschool and says he's good and happy and he relays stories about what he did or what his friends did. His vocabulary is extensive and things he comes up with I know he gets from school! He participates in a variety of dancing (ballet, hip-hop, etc), learns some Spanish and brings home great pieces of his art every week. His letter and number comprehension is quite good for such a youngster. The teachers are great. They are very knowledgeable and truly see the parent/teacher relationship as a partnership. I need them to tell me how my son is doing and what he needs help with, and they need me to tell them what my son is struggling with on the homefront. Together, we make a strong team. We couldnt' be happier with the attention and learning that happens at ASLC!

I would highly reccomend joining the extended family at ASLC!
If any place is worthy of the privilage of caring for your toddler, or preschooler it's ASLC! The loving staff care for the children as they would their own. Each child is given individual attention. Yoga, ballet, sign language, spanish, art and music are just a preview of what children at ASLC get to participate in every week. The teacher to child ratios are amazing. Staff members are all expirienced and passionate about their field. The classrooms are VERY large, and the outdoor play area is BEAUTIFUL!I have yet to encounter a parent who was unhappy with their experience in the 3 years I have been associated with ASLC. The growth that happens in children at this center far surpasses that of any other I have seen. If you are in need of childcare I would not suggest looking anywhere else untill you call Alderstreet.

Great Daycare!
My child loves this daycare. The staff is very loving and the activities are varied and interesting. The preschool offers yoga, ballet, and other activities to learn. They focus on a different child each month and talk about what is special about them. They take walks every day and go to the library. My child does not want to leave at the end of the day, and that's the best testimonial you can get. Do not be put off by the church basement aspect of it - it may not be the fanciest locale, but it is the best affordable daycare around. Currently only toddlers and up are enrolled, but if enough babies enrolled they could open up the very nice nursery on the main floor. Highly recommended.
